Arcade

Arcade is a piano piece using contemporary notation that takes advantage of both left-and-right hand oscillating and alternating repetitions that create a sound world unlike anything previously written or heard in my repertoire. The fingerings and parallelism highlight a pointillistic approach that offsets the single-minded focus of the hand positions to the broader and larger scale of the sound world that evokes a kind of “pinball machine” sound.
