The Christmas Song “Chestnuts” (vers. 1)

The Christmas Song “Chestnuts” (orch. May 2008) is an arrangement for Orchestra and big band or standard orchestra with the band band parts consolidated to only the instruments in the standard concert orchestra.  This well-known 1946 song by Mel Torme and popularly recorded by Nat King Cole is definitively known as “the” Christmas song.  Arranged for two singers (or equally as possible for one singer) in A major is arranged in standard form with an instrumental break by to the Bridge and a repeated Chorus and extended Coda round out the structure.
