Que Sera, Sera, 3.30

Que Sera, Sera (arr. September 2013) is a new arrangement for solo vocalist and orchestra which was commissioned by Kristin Chenoweth for the Hollywood Bowl and performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic.  Arranged in a lilting and sweeping fashion, this popular favorite Italian waltz by Livingston and Evans and made famous in recording by Doris Day and first written for Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Man Who Knew Too Much” is a wonderful addition to the standard singers repertoire, particularly those wishing to perform a tribute to music from the cinema.  The structure is largely around C major and D major and encompasses four verse and three orchestral interludes, giving the singer a moment for breath as well as providing a dynamic shape to the form of this vintage 1950s tune.
