Fugue in C-minor, WTC – Vol. 2m BWV 871 (J.S. Bach), 1.54

Fugue in C minor (orch. Aug. 2008) is a piano solo by Johann Sebastian Bach from his second book of The Well-Tempered Clavier (BWV 871).  The Fugue offers several examples of three contrapuntal techniques: of stretto, augmentation and inversion (or contrary motion) in this two minute composition.

Scored for Full Orchestra, this orchestration is expands the developments of the subject and answers through orchestrational highlighting and underlining of instrumental groups through carefully balanced and attention to Bach’s lines.
