Angels We Have Heard on High (vers. 1)

Angels We Have Heard on High (arr. April. 2013) is an orchestra arrangement of from the popular public domain carol with texts based on the book of Luke about shepherds who encounter angels singing at the birth of the Christ.   This arrangement relies on an Organ obbligato featured at the opening of the piece (or otherwise using an electronic keyboard with “Organ” sounds) which makes regular entrances and holds this arrangement together in a flourid and grandly orchestral style using traditional yet creative harmonizations of the hymn.  The piece is ideal for a strong Tenor in the keys of G major and later modulating to Eb major.
