62. And Fire Was Born, 5.24

And Fire Was Born (composed September 2012) is a vividly energetic work built upon static, pulsating harmonies which alternate and accompany wild right-hand designs, giving off sparks of ferocity in this dynamic post-minimal piece. Ticking ostinatos and symmetrical forms unify the piece into a linear, united whole. Rapid fury and intensity rise to the satisfying climax as the music accelerates, familiar harmonies shift and accustomed patterns of symmetrical forms begin to collapse on themselves at increasing intervals in a hurling, burst of sudden, fiery and wide-ranging plunges to the low depths of the keyboard in a catapulting two-handed scream upward that whirls to its extreme end in sheer force and excitement.
